The most important success of any project is ensuring that the interiors are a true reflection of our client’s requirements and aspirations.
An initial brief will be arranged, which will be an opportunity to meet the team, see examples of our recent projects and learn how we present the designs.
During this initial stage, we will either complete a site visit or a study of floor plans. We will discuss your requirements and preferences including personal style, lifestyle and aspirations.
We will also require at this stage an understanding of budget. Everything we specify is priced and scheduled individually, so very transparent. It is essential that we have an idea of budget to allow us to work towards suppliers that work within the budget set.
After the brief has taken place we will send a proposal, which outlines the requirements discussed at the initial meeting, estimated budgets for each room along with the associated design fee and contract.
Upon receipt of the signed contract, design fee schedule and design fee we will begin to prepare design schemes for each area. We will arrange a further meeting where each room scheme will be presented with floor plans, furniture layouts, imagery of all proposed furniture, samples of all finishes including wallcoverings, flooring, and fabrics and will clearly demonstrate the design intent. This process will take between 4-6 weeks dependent on the size of the project. At this stage, it’s an invitation for our client to give as much feedback as possible to ensure that the concept is to their exact requirements. If any changes need to be made, it is at this stage they are implemented.
The second design meeting will include the full and final furniture layouts and spatial plans of all furniture and bespoke joinery, as well as layouts and elevation drawings for all bathrooms and kitchen. Furthermore, a schedule of all lighting fixtures, decorative finishes and a full itemised FF&E (Furniture, fittings & equipment) schedule will be presented in a package for the client to keep.
We prepare a full set of design drawings and specifications to ensure the contractor fully understands the exact requirements of the job.
We will conduct regular site visits to check on progress of the works and will liaise with the site manager in person, by telephone or email to ensure that the works are carried out as per the design.
In order that we can ensure that the projected is completed on time. We work 16 weeks backwards from the completion date, to order and process all purchase orders of all scheduled items from the agreed FF&E schedule. All items are shipped and stored with our approved storage provider until works are completed and the installation can commence.
The interior design team supervise the entire process of installation.
